K9 Skills for SARThis workshop presents training methods and techniques for teaching the essential and foundational skills necessary to field the well prepared SAR Dog. This class will include some lecture, demonstrations and a large amount of field exercises. The curriculum is especially valuable for those already involved in First Responder activities, such as Fire Fighters or EMTs. This class is targeted towards teaching students and K9s the foundational skills needed by a SAR Dog. Training for all types of SAR Dogs will be undertaken. Area, Detection/HRD and Disaster.

Water Search for HRD K9sThis event is appropriate for all levels of HRD dogs and area search dogs seeking more experience searching for human remains in the water environment. Topics discussed include scene safety, search strategy and tactics, theory, final response, and determination of victim location. Searching is performed from shoreline and boat.
