The mission of SDONA is to develop and nurture a North American program in which K9 Handlers and their dogs can train, test, and challenge themselves to the highest level possible. As a result, SDONA offers a variety of training and evaluation events throughout the year that cater to all levels of K9 Search and Rescue. We offer training for the very new handlers just exploring the discipline to the seasoned handlers seeking out opportunities to push themselves and their partners to new levels of expertise. Please check out our offerings below, and check back often as we continue to add new training and seminar events.
If you are interested in hosting a SDONA training event for 2021 that will fit your specific needs, please review our two options for hosting an event and contact us to discuss your interests!
We are proud to offer a scholarship in honor of Cindy McArthur, which can be used at any SDONA seminar in 2021. Learn more and apply today!
Although we are excited to host these seminars in 2021, we recognize that the challenges of the current pandemic will remain for some time yet. As such, all seminars will follow the recommended guidelines set forth by the CDC, including but not limited to face coverings and social distancing. These protocols are essential to protect the health and well-being of students and instructors.
In order to help us better prepare to give our students the best experience possible, registration for all events will close three weeks prior to the start date. Refunds will only be issued up to 4 weeks (one month) prior to the start date of any event. After that time, no refunds will be issued. All refunds are subject to a $25 processing fee. SDONA reserves the right to cancel an event up to four weeks prior if we do not have sufficient participants.
