Advanced Water Recovery for K9s
June 17-19, 2019
Flagstaff, AZ
Do you want to take your water training with your K9 to the next level? Do you want to teach your dog to more effectively 'drive the boat' and learn critical search strategies for complex water environments, and more? This is the seminar for you!
This workshop presents advanced techniques for training K9s for water recovery for K9s with an emphasis on reinforcing an indication from a boat using divers through more repetitions and teaching a dog to 'drive the boat' to odor source, We will also begin to transition dogs from the divers to large sources in the water. The class will be limited to 10 handlers to allow for more repetitions and longer search problems. You must have taken a beginner/intro water class with SDONA or a seminar that uses similar training methodologies (using divers) before enrolling in this class.
